    Catchy Headlines

    Kind of Activity:

    Creative Writing

    Objective:

    Students will creatively and persuasively their comprehension of the novel by writing catchy headlines for the chapters they're just read.

    Structure:

    For this activity, break students into pairs. As pairs, students will go through the chapters in this section of the reading (Part-Angel Warriors, chapters 13-22) and make short lists of the major events and ideas portrayed in each separately. Their list for each chapter should contain 3-4 items. This is the brainstorming part of the activity, so they shouldn't spend too much time analyzing.
