What does Tambu think about the white people on the mission?
Before going to the mission, Tambu had not spent much time around white people. Her main experience with them was at the market when she tried to sell her maize. In that moment, she saw white people as those who pity her, who see her as less than. When she gets to the mission, that changes. She comes to like the missionaries.
