A Conversation with Parrett

Objective:

Students will read interviews with Parrett, apply her answers to their understanding of the novel, and consider questions of their own.

Common Core Standards:

Structure:

Have students read the interview with Parrett, found in the back of most editions of the novel. If the interview isn't there, they can find it online here. Also, have them listen to/read the transcript of The Garrett's interview with Parrett from 2020.
