Students will write imitations of Yeats's poems to better understand his poetic choices and thematic concerns.

Structure:

This is Part Two of a multi-day activity. Over the course of the week, students will choose one poem from each day's assignment to imitate in a pastiche.

For Day Two, students will focus on place. Ask students to closely read "The Lake Isle of Innisfree" and to write about a place that is equally meaningful to them.
