Objective:

Students will write imitations of Yeats's poems to better understand his poetic choices and thematic concerns.

Structure:

Give students 30 minutes of in-class time to begin drafting a pastiche of one of the day's poems. Instruct them to edit it for homework. On the final day, ask students to compile their edited poems into a mini chapbook of Yeats pastiches.
