    Objective:

    Students will write a reflective essay drawing on assigned readings. Students will consider how to navigate interpersonal and communal conflict and religious hypocrisy.

    Common Core Standards:

    CCSS.ELA-Literacy.WHST.9-10.9 Draw evidence from informational texts to support analysis, reflection, and research.

    Structure:

    Introduction

    This activity calls upon students to write a reflection essay about how they would navigate Malcolm's conflict with the Nation of Islam, Elijah Muhammad, and concerns related to religious hypocrisy.
