Students will demonstrate an understanding of H.D.'s poems by writing imitations of her works.

Structure:

This is the third part of a multi-day activity.

Ask students to write a pastiche of any one of the assigned poems: "Helen," "Lethe," "The Wine Bowl," or "Fragment Thirty-Six." Provide students with internet access to research for 15 minutes, then have them spend the remaining 30 minutes of the period brainstorming and writing their poems.
