Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret. Lesson Plan

Bringing in Technology

Throughout the study of Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret, students with disabilities should have the option of using dictation software for writing assignments, and text-to-speech software for reading assignments, or any other ADA-mandated technological accommodations.

The "Who's Judy Blume?" activity on Day 1 requires internet access for research; the three days of the "Meaning and Value" project would also benefit from this.

Day 2's "Character Mapping" activity can be done on a number of online platforms, from Prezi to Adobe.

The writing activities on Day 4 and 5 would benefit from having a class blog or document-sharing platform.
