What do you think the women of Corinth want from Medea?
The Chorus may want to comfort Medea. They may want to help guide her through this time of trouble. However, they could also be there to witness the scandal for their own selfish reasons. Your students may have experienced themselves the desire to watch a scandal or to gossip. One could argue this is part of human nature--and part of why reality television is so popular. The Chorus may see the drama between Jason and Medea as their own reality television show.
