Exploring the roots of color symbolism

Objective:
Students will participate in an improvisational free association game in which they explore their associations with different colors, then analyze the color symbolism in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
Structure:
For this activity, students will play a free association game, improv-theater-game-style, where they take turns naming objects they associate with a certain color, in rhythm. For example, they could keep the rhythm by alternating slapping their knees and clapping their hands, at a moderately slow pace.
