The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe Lesson Plan

Study Objectives

If all of the elements of this lesson plan are employed, students will develop the following powers, skills, and understanding:

    Students will produce both academic and creative writing in response to and inspired by themes and specific passages from The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, relevant outside resources, and their own lived experience.

    Students will study the book in relation to the historical and social contexts in which it exists. This will include studying the life of its author, C.S. Lewis.

    Students will engage visual elements in ways that connect to Lewis's text and to their own analytical and creative process, both in original art projects and PowerPoint...
