    How does Dashner describe the Griever in Chapter 19? How is this monster particularly menacing?

    The Griever is described using multiple senses. The body is part animal, part machine and slimey and bulging. Dashner goes on to describe the Griever's movements, which add to its terror. It is pulsating to breathe and it rolls up into a ball to move. Weapons pop up out of its skin without warning and then recede. Finally, Dashner describes the sounds associated with the movements and the Griever's weapons. The whirring and clicking noises are otherworldly. Students may find the monster particularly menacing because it is unlike typical monsters described in stories or movies....
