Warning Signs

Objective:

Students will draw a relationship between historical events and events that occurred within the novel.

CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RI.9-10.1

Structure:

This entire activity may be done with the full class, or you may break them into small groups before reconvening for a wrap-up discussion. Either way, point students to this article, which lists the 12 early signs of a fascist government, which is displayed in the U.S. Holocaust Museum:
