Act II, Scene 1
Back in Paris, the King sends several of his Lords off to war in Italy, musing that he might or might not be alive when they return. To the side, Bertram and Parolles complain to the Lords that the King doesn't want Bertram to go to war, that he says he is too young. Bertram is frustrated by these circumstances. The Lords leave. Parolles tells Bertram that he should behave more warmly to members of the court, and the two depart.
Lafew comes in, after asking about the King's health and his hope that it will improve, tells him that Helen has arrived. He brings Helen in and leaves. Helen explains to the King that she is the daughter...
