Act III, Scene 1
The scene takes place in Florence, where the Duke of Florence welcomes the Lords from France who have come to fight in the war. He is puzzled that the King of France hasn't formally taken a side, but the Lords assure him that they are on his side, and that many more Frenchmen are likely to follow.

The Fool has returned to Rossillion with Bertram's letter.
