Chapter R - Review of Basic Concepts - R.3 Polynomials - R.3 Exercises - Page 33: 50

Answer

$m^{3}-4m^{2}+10$

Work Step by Step

First, distribute the sign located between the two polynomials to the second polynomial. Since it is a positive, none of the signs will change. After distribution, it will remain the same: $$(3m^{3}−3m^{2}+4)+(−2m^{3}+m^{2}+6)$$ . After distribution, the parenthesis can be dropped so that you are left with: $$3m^{3}-3m^{2}+4-2m^{3}-m^{2}+6$$ Then simply combine like terms. $$m^{3}-4m^{2}+10$$
